ABOUT
BrightStorm is a modern symphonic / Gothic metal band from the city of São José dos Campos in the interior of São Paulo, Brazil. The band was founded in 2012 by vocalist Naimi Stephanie. A bit longer then a year later the band started recording for the release of their first authorial material the EP "Past in Flames" which was released in January 2014. The name BRIGHTSTORM comes from the metaphorical meaning "light in the dark", since the lyrics address themes of overcoming experiences by it's members mixed with fictional themes.
With the newly released EP, the band went on a mini tour through Brazil to promote BrightStorm. With strong influences from bands like After Forever, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Epica, Draconian, Evanescence and Tristania, BrightStorm release in partnership with the label MS metal press records its first studio album in 2017 "Through the Gates". The band also release a video clip for music "Walk" and a Lyric Video of "Psicostasia" extracted from the debut album, available on the youtube channel BrightStormBand .
The band has been gaining more and more recognition on the national and international scene every day, selling several albums in the United States, Europe and Japan, in addition to having fans from 60 countries faithfully following it on Spotify and several other digital platforms.
In 2019 BrightStorm opened for the bands Delain and Vuur in São Paulo at Tropical Butantã, with several fans who love female vocals. Also performed a very successful show at Sesc Taubaté on October 24, 2019 with a warm audience singing and applauding to the songs of the upcoming "Through the Gates".
The band's new single is scheduled for 2020, where a teaser of the new single is already available on the youtube channel for the song "My Mind".
